Tensys® Medical Inc. receives GOLD from Appliance Design in the Nineteenth Annual Excellence in Design awards.

San Diego, CA | July 14, 2006 -- Tensys® Medical Inc. (www.tensysmedical.com), the leader in continuous, non-invasive blood pressure monitoring, has received GOLD from Appliance Design in the 19th annual Excellence In Design (EID) awards for Medical Equipment 2006. These awards acknowledge products which have successfully merged advanced technology with striking industrial design. A Gold EID award is givin to the highest scored product within each category.

The TL-150 has been developed to provide a continuous, non-invasive blood pressure monitor that is easy to use, accurate and reliable. The design uses colors, text and graphics to guide a user through the set-up. The intention is for the product to teach the user its function.

The 19th Annual EID competition drew a wide variety of innovative designs from competitors across the globe. The products submitted had to fit into one of fourteen categories and currently be available for sale. Some other winners include Honda, Sony, and SignalOne Safety. Judges for the competition were comprised of an independent panel of experts, each with more than twenty five years design experience.
