Tensys® Medical Inc. receives the 2005 GOOD DESIGN Award for Medical Equipment from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design

(www.tensysmedical.com), the leader in continuous, non-invasive blood pressure monitoring, is pleased to receive the GOOD DESIGN award for Medical Equipment 2005. A distinguished jury of design professionals from New York recognized the Tensys® T-Line® as an advancement in medical technology beyond standard consumer design. This award acknowledges industrial design firms and manufacturers in over 20 countries, thereby elevating the best and finest new design innovation for products and graphics designed and manufactured as of 2002 to the present.
The Tensys® T-Line® is an innovative, continuous, non-invasive blood pressure monitor for numerous clinical settings. It provides reliable blood pressure data which is clinically equivalent to that of an invasive arterial cannula. This tool provides clinicians the ability to quickly recognize unanticipated hemodynamic changes and provide immediate intervention with beat-to-beat visibility to the patient's response.
The GOOD DESIGN program, founded in 1950, is the world's oldest and most celebrated awards program. It recognizes designers and manufacturers from the international community for advancing new and innovative product concepts. The GOOD DESIGN Show, the annual exhibition of the awards, is scheduled to open in early summer 2006 at the Chicago Athenaeum, the only architecture and design museum in the United States.
