San Diego, CA | January, 2006 -- Tensys® Medical, Inc. the leader in continuous non-invasive blood pressure monitoring, has received the "Best Design of the Year" award for medical products from Electronic Design. This annual honor recognizes the year's achievements in electronic engineering, as well as advances in the technology behind those designs. Tensys® Medical, Inc. received this award for its innovative technology, Tensysmetry®, in the continuous, non-invasive measurement of arterial blood pressure. The TL-150, the second generation Tensysmeter®, provides beat-to-beat blood pressure measurement with accuracy clinically equivalent to an A-Line for early warning of hemodynamic changes.
