Tensys® Medical, Inc. is dedicated to improving patient safety by designing, manufacturing and marketing a continuous, non-invasive blood pressure monitoring system. The T-Line® allows early recognition and treatment of rapid changes in blood pressure in the OR and improves diagnosis and management of cardiovascular conditions in non-surgical settings.

Patient response to anesthetic agents and surgical intervention is highly variable and unpredictable, and the combination of both commonly induces significant and rapid changes in blood pressure. During surgery, blood pressure monitoring, with the exception of less than 12% of patients who get direct intra-arterial blood pressure monitoring, is accomplished by using a standard cuff-based NIBP monitor, providing only intermittent measurements every 3-5 minutes.

Continuous measurement allows early recognition and treatment of rapid changes in blood pressure and provides immediate feedback on the impact of interventions for optimal blood pressure management.

Unlike invasive A-Lines, which carry a risk of infection or other complications, the T-Line® provides a non-invasive solution for beat-to-beat blood pressure monitoring. In the OR today, blood pressure is the only critical parameter that is not monitored continuously on all patients. Heart rate, respiration and oxygenation are all monitored continuously and non-invasively for patient safety. The T-Line® allows complete and continuous non-invasive vital sign safety monitoring.
